About Us
Kyra Kenyon Kyra Kenyon, originally from Syracuse, New York, has been with Dance Connection since 2008. While in New York, she was an active member of the performing arts community appearing in many educational videos for Stepping Tones Productions (now Music Works) and her technical tap training earned her a perfect score on the Graded Tap Exam by Al Gilbert. She holds numerous awards Regionally and Nationally and has trained with master teachers throughout the U.S. Her performance and choreography experience includes A Year With Frog & Toad (Turtle), Bye Bye Birdie, Phantom, Once On This Island, Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Oklahoma, State Fair and more, which contributed to her receipt of the New York Theatre Excellence Award. Since her move to the Midwest to study musical theatre and dance at Ball State University, favorite roles include Sandy (Grease), Johanna (Sweeney Todd), Susan Wilkes (Big River) and Iris Kelly (Fame). She also performed as a singer, dancer and show lead at Six Flags Theme Park. She has taught many dance workshops with organizations such as The Girl Scouts of America and Muncie Center for the Arts, has worked with after school programs and is Co-Captain of the Indiana Generals Dance Team.
